What’s $1 billion worth of art to Estée Lauder chairman Leonard Lauder? A generous donation to New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lauder gave 78 works of Cubist art from Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris and Fernand Léger to the Met, a move he says will allow the form to be “studied within the collections of one of the greatest encyclopaedic museums in the world.” [VOGUE UK]
